Dental Assistant
I am very happy working with Dr. Rodríguez who provided this wonderful opportunity to work for South Ocean Dental. I am currently in my second year at Saddleback college, biology being my major. I received my training as a Dental assistant at California Dental Academy where I obtained my X Ray licensing and CPR training.
It's been wonderful working for South Ocean Dental. Here we are like family. We enjoy seeing our patients and we love seeing them with new beautiful smiles after they accomplish their treatment. I am looking forward to gaining more experience as a Dental Assistant. I am eager to learn all that I can because my plans are to become a dentist in the future. Or perhaps to be a nurse. I am attracted to professions related to health.

As I’m embarking on my journey in dental care, I am currently a dental assistant with dedication to fostering patient care. I’m pursuing studies in dental hygiene while obtaining my Health Science degree at Saddleback College. I later plan on advancing my studies by attending my school of choice West Coast University. My passion to help others smile fuels my commitment to pursue this field. I thrive on creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring effective communication within the dental practice. Beyond the dental office, I cherish time spent with my family, especially my cat Milo.

My love for dentistry began 12 years ago, when I began my career as an oral hygienist and assistant. After a couple of years I felt that my passion for dentistry grew when I received my professional degree as a general dentist at the University of Saint Thomas of Aquinas. - Colombia. The same love that forces me to grow humanly by being able to develop my knowledge in patient care from cultural diversity. For me, a tooth represents a world that begins in science and ends in the architecture of conservation. I desire to grow and improve to provide the best care to each patient. Leaving the world of dentistry, I love cooking, reading history, and dancing to Colombian cultural music. I am grateful for this new experience where my professional and cultural knowledge grows in my work environment.

As I began my dental career in May of 2022 I knew I always wanted to help create beautiful smiles. I strive to make everyone who enters our office feel comfortable and secure within the practice. What fulfills me is seeing patients leave our office with a smile and feeling more confident with themselves than when they came in. As I work with Dr. Rodriguez I have gained much more confidence and she has taught me a lot over the years. I'm currently in school so Dr. Rodriguez is giving me the opportunity to learn while I work and gain more knowledge and experience. I also enjoy being here because it’s not only like a team but it feels like family. On days off I spend time with family and enjoy hiking and visiting new lakes.

Being part of South Ocean Dental has been a great experience for me and my future in the dental field. I have been a dental assistant for over five years and continue to further my education within the practice. Working with Dr. Rodriguez has been one of the best learning experiences, as she has helped improve my skills within the clinical practice. I enjoy seeing patients leave the clinic every day with a great smile. I strive to gain more experience as a dental assistant, as my goals are to provide patients with the best care. Outside of the office one of my favorite hobbies is swimming, while also spending time with my family.
